I love inventing games and puzzles, building the prototypes, writing the rules, testing and debugging them. I enjoy inventing all kinds of things besides games. Some are frivolous and some very useful, but games give me the opportunity to play with friends and family and in some cases to make art out of the game elements. Several of my games become pieces of two & three dimensional art which change every time they are played. I have, on occasion, been commissioned to create and build limited edition educational games like the HIP wheel of Health and Let's Make a Meal or paint a target for a sponge throwing game. I have also exhibited my prototypes as art forms in a museum display about the history of games.
Some of my games are sports involving flying discs, sometimes in multiples as in "Tripto" where three discs are thrown simultaneously to two receivers. Some are puzzles like the "Mad Mobius" which has lead to another form of visual puzzle and even into an article of clothing and a book. The "Einstimer" watch tells relatively (perfectly) good time but with a twist in the space-time continuum. Chocolate Chess is edible and renewable.
I hope that many of my inventions will be featured in an upcoming book about how original ideas are formed and how being an artist enables one to realize, modify and refine the product, its packaging, as well as the advertising and promotional materials.
