As a sub-specialty of graphic design, logos present numerous challenges which make designing them more fun and more difficult. Sometimes clients have very specific ideas of what they want.They may have older versions of their mark, which could strongly influence their requirements. Since I love type I sometimes start with pure typographic solutions (PLR, J&D, Manhattan Language), but pictures are easy to remember and will usually help to tell the story of the business.
